Our Story
A Mountain Guide and a Thoughtful Planner
Alejandro has spent more than 25 years guiding climbers and hikers across the Colombian Andes. From rock walls in Suesca to glacier routes in El Cocuy, his experience is rooted in safety, preparation and deep respect for the mountains.
Daniela brings a thoughtful, experience-driven approach to meaningful travel. With a background in industrial engineering and a lifelong love for the outdoors, she ensures that every journey is carefully designed, seamlessly organized and genuinely personal.
Together, they created Colombian Andes Journeys as a partnership — blending technical mountain expertise with careful planning and heartfelt hospitality. What began as a shared dream became a way to invite others into the landscapes they love.
Today, they lead guided journeys across the Colombian Andes, from high-altitude expeditions in El Cocuy to cultural explorations through authentic Colombian villages — always with one goal: to make travelers feel supported, safe and deeply connected to the experience.

We created Colombian Andes Journeys because the mountains changed our lives — and we wanted to share that feeling with others.
What began as our personal love for climbing, hiking and exploring the Colombian Andes became a deeper calling: to build a community around nature, connection and meaningful travel.
